CarmelFest 2024 showcases new Ferris wheel and additional attractions

CarmelFest, Carmel’s annual two-day Fourth of July celebration, has returned with a bang. The festival, taking place at Carter Green and Civic Square, features a lineup of food vendors, live music, and a parade. One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the addition of a new Ferris Wheel at Carter Green. Festival co-chair Steve Krusie expressed his excitement about the attraction, calling it a dream come true. In addition to the Ferris Wheel, both Carter Green and Civic Square will host a variety of entertainment as part of the Hoosier Crossroads Music Festival.

Attendees can also look forward to a wide array of food options, from classic fair food like corn dogs to international cuisine and vegetarian options. The parade will feature Butch Cassidy of Munster’s fame as the grand Marshal, with his “Dragula” dragster on display in the Kids Zone at Civic Square.

The festival will run from July 3 to July 4, with the parade taking place on July 4 at 10:30 a.m. The celebration will culminate with fireworks on July 4 at 9:45 p.m. With a mix of entertainment, food, and fun, CarmelFest promises to be a memorable event for the whole family.
