Indiana Attorney General accuses medical professionals of Medicaid fraud charges


In a series of legal cases across various counties in Indiana, healthcare workers have been accused of fraud, theft, and negligence. RN Vincent Colonna, RN Amy Mullins, RN Autumn Duvall, QMA Myah Samples, CNA Andrianna Bautista, CNA Shalynn Throw, LPN Rebecca Plaza, RN Jessica Lynn Hallam, RN Lori Pribble, RN Sherri Lynn Shelby, RN Meredith Briles, and RN Katheryn Luna are all facing charges related to their alleged misconduct while working at healthcare facilities.

These healthcare workers are accused of various crimes, including obtaining controlled substances by fraud, theft of medication, neglecting patients resulting in serious bodily harm, and falsifying records. The cases were investigated by different members of the Indiana Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and are being prosecuted by Deputy Attorneys General.

The allegations range from diverting medication from patients for personal use, stealing medication prescribed for patients, exploiting an endangered adult, submitting false claims for payment, causing serious injury to a patient, and failing to provide appropriate medical care. These cases highlight the importance of maintaining ethical standards in the healthcare industry and the accountability of healthcare professionals for their actions.
