NTT IndyCar Series driver Alexander Rossi will miss the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto after breaking his right thumb in a practice crash. Rossi hit tire barriers and was seen and released from the INDYCAR Medical Unit. Arrow McLaren will announce a replacement driver for Rossi’s No. 7 car. Colton Herta had the fastest lap during Friday’s practice session, followed by Felix Rosenqvist. Christian Lundgaard, last year’s winner, had the 11th fastest lap. The second practice session is set for Saturday, with qualifying later that day. The race is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Tony Kanaan, Arrow McLaren’s sporting director, expressed support for Rossi on social media. Rossi remains optimistic about his injury and is focused on his recovery for the next race at Gateway.
