Stewart-Haas Racing and Josh Berry are making headlines at the Brickyard 400 this weekend with their unique sponsorship of Indiana Fever superstar, Caitlin Clark. Panini’s logo adorns the No. 4 Ford, putting Clark front and center on the hood of the race car. Berry expressed his excitement at having Clark on the car and admired her popularity and impact on women’s basketball. The paint scheme has generated buzz in the Stewart-Haas Racing garages, with teammate Chase Briscoe expressing jealousy over Berry’s car.
Clark, who is currently preparing for her first WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix, was ecstatic to learn about the design and hopes it brings good luck. This partnership won’t be a one-time occurrence, as the No. 4 team plans to auction off the hood to raise money for the Matt Alexander Memorial Baseball Scholarship Fund. The fund honors a high school graduate and baseball player who tragically lost his life in the 2021 FedEx mass shooting. The hood will be up for bidding in a silent auction during August’s Zander’s Memorial Softball Tournament in Avon, with all proceeds going toward the scholarship fund.
Clark shared her longtime love for NASCAR, making this collaboration even more special for her. The auction, which includes items from the tournament, will take place online, starting on August 14th. Berry’s Caitlin Clark car hood will be among the items available for bidding to support a meaningful cause.
