Colton Herta secures pole position at the Toronto IndyCar race, with Andretti Global teammate Kyle Kirkwood starting alongside him. Meyer Shank’s Felix Rosenqvist takes third place. Points leader Alex Palou penalized for interference during qualifying and will start 18th. Defending champion Christian Lundgaard and Scott Dixon fail to advance from the first round. Alexander Rossi out with a broken thumb, replaced by Theo Pourchaire. The race will feature hybrid powertrains for the first time, introduced two weeks ago at Mid-Ohio. The stage is set for an exciting race on the Exhibition Place street course on Sunday.
