Israeli attacks continue to devastate Gaza, with dozens killed including local journalist Muhammad Abu Jasser and his family. The Palestinian death toll has reached 38,919 as the Israeli military carries out relentless bombardment in various parts of the territory. The Palestinian Civil Defence has documented multiple attacks leading to numerous casualties, with residential buildings and refugee camps being targeted.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that Israeli forces killed 37 people in just 24 hours, highlighting the dire situation faced by Palestinians in the besieged territory. The blockade imposed by Israel has led to a hunger crisis and health concerns due to sewage spills near displaced people’s encampments. The Ministry of Interior has warned against further displacement of Palestinians by Israel and urged citizens to remain steadfast in their homes.
In response to the escalating violence, Hamas has called on the United Nations to intervene and stop what they describe as “Zionist crimes and terrorism” with direct support from the American administration. The militant group has vowed to continue resisting Israeli attacks and hold them accountable for their actions. The recent intensification of attacks comes amid talks for a ceasefire deal, with Hamas accusing Israel of ramping up bombings in retaliation to the International Court of Justice ruling that deemed the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories as illegal.
