Twin brothers Brandon and Landon Aydlett, along with the Tower Team, are set to break ground on their next toy timber construction project at Micronesia Mall in Guam. The project will be a scaled replica of the Empire State Building in New York City, standing at an estimated 29 feet tall and using 95,000 toy timber logs. This will be their largest and tallest structure to date, surpassing their previous record-setting tower.
The construction will begin on August 1 and is expected to be completed by August 8, with work taking place during mall hours. The Tower Team aims to have the marathon construction finished by the target completion date. Although the tower will not aim to break any world records, the Aydlett brothers remain the official record holders for their previous projects.
The project is part of the events celebrating Micronesia Mall’s 36th anniversary and will feature a number of activities on August 10, including live entertainment and an anniversary ribbon cutting. The Tower Team has partnered with Micronesia Mall to bring awareness and support to three charities: ALEE Shelter, Victim Advocates Reaching Out, and Harvest House.
Those interested in volunteering for the Tower for Humanity project can visit the team’s social media pages or contact Landon Aydlett for more information. The logs for the project will be transported to Micronesia Mall on July 27, and final preparations for the construction will be made in the days leading up to the start date. This unique project promises to be an “only on Guam” experience for the community to enjoy and participate in.
