Judge has motioned to transfer Delphi murders suspect from prison

Judge Frances Gull has made a decision to move Delphi murders suspect Richard Allen out of the Indiana Department of Correction on Thursday. This decision came during the third day of court hearings related to the Delphi murders case. The defense had requested to vacate Allen’s safekeeping order, which was granted by Gull. Now, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office will take over Allen’s custody and decide where he will be transferred.

Carroll County Sheriff Tony Liggett had previously stated that the Carroll County Jail would not be housing Allen. Instead, he is considering speaking with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office about potentially housing Allen there. This move would potentially bring Allen closer to his family and the office of one of his attorneys.

This decision marks a significant development in the ongoing case of the Delphi murders, which have remained unresolved since 2017. Allen has been a suspect in the case, but no charges have been brought against him yet. With this move out of the Indiana Department of Correction, there may be new developments in the investigation. Stay tuned for more updates as this story continues to unfold.
