By using rooftop solar panels to power its operations, feeding spent grain to local cows, and selling its beer in tins, the brewery is setting a new standard for environmentally friendly brewing practices.

Operating for three years, Fuerst Wiacek specializes in high-end craft beer, particularly known for its high-quality IPAs and traditional German beers. The brewery works with a local farmer to recycle spent grain, which is then fed to the cows in the area. Additionally, Fuerst Wiacek sources a significant amount of its power from solar energy, with plans to expand its solar panel usage in the future.

The brewery’s commitment to sustainability extends to its beer production as well. Each batch is completely natural, free from preservatives and unnecessary chemicals, and rigorously tested to ensure freshness. Fuerst Wiacek’s beers are exported to 34 countries and the brewery collaborates with other companies to release new beers regularly.

One unique feature of Fuerst Wiacek’s products is their packaging – the beer is sold in tins rather than bottles. This decision, according to head of sales George Shumay, is more environmentally friendly as tins are easier to recycle and have a higher recycling rate in Germany compared to glass.
