Local and federal authorities are offering a reward after a burglary at an Anderson gun shop. The burglary took place at 9 Guns located at 2213 S. Scatterfield Road. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives reported that the incident occurred around 11 p.m. when four individuals crashed a stolen vehicle into the front of the shop and made off with an undisclosed number of firearms. The vehicle used in the burglary was later discovered to have been stolen from Indianapolis.
The shop specializes in buying, selling, and trading handguns, rifles, shotguns, AR-15s, accessories, and ammo. The Anderson Police Department is urging anyone with information about the burglary to contact Detective Brett Webb.
In response to the incident, the ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation have teamed up to offer a reward of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the apprehension of the burglars. The incident has raised concerns about the illegal acquisition of firearms and highlights the importance of safeguarding gun stores against such criminal activities.
The community is reminded to report any suspicious activity and work together with law enforcement to prevent further incidents of this nature. The authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen firearms.
