Street racing results in the deaths of four family members in Texas, racers now facing charges.

Two men in Texas have been accused of racing sports cars and causing a fiery crash that resulted in the death of four people from one family. The fatal crash took place on Saturday evening in Grand Prairie, Texas, when the two drivers were racing a red Dodge Charger and a white Dodge Charger Daytona. The red Charger collided with a Chevrolet Traverse that was turning left, resulting in the death of three occupants on the scene and a fourth occupant later dying at the hospital. A fifth occupant was in critical condition. The driver of the white Charger fled the scene.

The victims of the crash were identified as five members of a family: Jessie and Lorena Rosales, the parents, and two of their children, 13-year-old Stephanie and 6-year-old Angel. Another child, a 16-year-old, survived but was in critical condition. Video taken by witnesses showed the aftermath of the collision, with one car engulfed in flames and another with severe damage.

Jaime Mesa, the driver of the red Charger, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and is facing recommended charges including four counts of racing causing death and manslaughter. The driver of the white Charger, Anthony Morales, was arrested on charges of racing causing death and serious bodily injury. The incident has raised concerns about street racing in the area, with residents expressing fears and frustration over the dangers posed by such activities. The crash remains under investigation by the police.
