Indianapolis police have arrested the final suspect in connection with a fatal shooting and robbery at a west side apartment complex in 2021. Eugene Foy, 31, was charged with murder, robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon. The victim, Jeffrey Herald, was found shot in the head in a white Honda Civic at the Pangea Hills Apartments. Tavaris R. Jackson was convicted in April and sentenced to 70 years in prison for his involvement in the crime. Laseanne Strode accepted a plea deal for robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Cellphone data, social media, and a witness helped establish their involvement in the shooting. Foy’s initial court hearing is scheduled for Aug. 22. The other suspects are already serving their sentences in the Indiana Department of Correction. This development follows the previous reporting from News 8.
