GCSE Results Day: Live Updates as Pupils Across the Nation Await Their Grades


School standards minister Catherine McKinnell has stated that this year’s GCSE results are expected to be in line with those from last year. She praised students for overcoming challenges, particularly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and commended teachers for their hard work. Teach First, a teacher training social enterprise, is calling for increased teacher salaries to attract educators to deprived communities where students are less likely to achieve top grades.
