Israeli strike on occupied West Bank results in three Palestinian fatalities | Latest on Israel-Palestine conflict

Israeli forces have been carrying out near-daily raids in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of more than 600 Palestinians since October. The latest incident occurred in Tulkarem refugee camp, where three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air attack on a house. Hamas’ military wing, the Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for the clash with Israeli soldiers and the detonation of explosives targeting military vehicles.

The Israeli military deployed snipers and bulldozers to the area, destroying infrastructure and causing a fire in the camp. Air strikes were carried out on militants in Tulkarem as ground forces searched for buried explosives. Dozens of buildings were destroyed, and at least one Israeli soldier was injured in the eight-hour incursion.

Israeli forces also conducted raids in other cities and towns across the West Bank, resulting in the arrest of two teenagers in Deir Ballut and Tubas city. Clashes with Palestinians, involving tear gas, live rounds, and sound bombs, occurred in the village of Burqa.

The surge in attacks in the West Bank has been linked to Israel’s recent war on Gaza. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has declared Israel’s presence in the occupied territory as unlawful and called for it to end as soon as possible. This ongoing conflict continues to escalate tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinians, resulting in casualties and widespread destruction.
