Security services company Triple Canopy, a division of Constellis Group, has announced plans to cut 123 jobs in Indiana. The company, which employs former military and law enforcement personnel, is attributing the job cuts to the loss of its Federal Protective Service contract. The affected employees, spread across various locations in the state, will see their employment end on September 30, 2024, with no guarantee of finding another position within the company. Employees will be paid through their last day of work according to state law.
The impacted locations include Anderson, Lafayette, Auburn, Madison, Bloomington, Marion, Columbus, Merrillville, Elkhart, Muncie, Evansville, Richmond, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Gary, Terre Haute, Hammond, Valparaiso, and Indianapolis. Triple Canopy, known for providing security services, risk management, and support to government and corporate clients, has seen a decline in job opportunities due to the discontinuation of the Federal Protective Service contract. The company, with over 5,000 employees at the time of the merger, has been forced to make difficult decisions regarding its workforce in light of the contract loss.
