A recent study conducted by FlashPicks has revealed that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s jersey is more popular in Indiana than any player for the Indianapolis Colts. The study analyzed search data for NFL jerseys in each U.S. state and found that five players, including Kelce, had higher jersey searches than any Colts player. Surprisingly, the most-searched jersey in Indiana belongs to Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams, with Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson coming in sixth.
Kelce’s popularity in Indiana can be attributed to not only his success with the Chiefs in recent Super Bowls but also his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. Richardson’s jersey is the most searched for Colts jersey in the state, with 4,130 searches so far this year. However, this pales in comparison to Williams, Burrow, and Love, who each have 7,000 searches for their jerseys in Indiana.
In addition to Kelce and Richardson, other popular NFL jerseys in Indiana include those of Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Patrick Mahomes. The study also found that CeeDee Lamb, Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, and Brock Purdy have significant jersey searches in Indiana this year. Richardson and the Colts are set to kick off their season against the Houston Texans, with fans eagerly awaiting to see if Richardson’s popularity on the field matches that of his jersey sales in Indiana.
