Indiana Conservation Officer Kendrick Fuhrman is being hailed as a hero for rescuing a woman from a burning home in Shoals on Monday. Fuhrman was on patrol when he responded to a report of a house fire on High Street. Upon arriving, he was informed that people were still inside the home. Fuhrman bravely entered the burning home and found a man and a woman inside. The woman needed assistance to escape, so Fuhrman and the man helped her out just before the house was consumed by flames.
After saving the two occupants, Fuhrman assisted the Shoals Volunteer Fire Department in trying to extinguish the blaze. The quick thinking and actions of Officer Fuhrman saved the woman’s life and prevented further damage to the home. Fuhrman’s heroic efforts in the face of danger serve as a reminder of the bravery and selflessness of first responders in our communities.
