Veteran guard Cory Joseph has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with the Orlando Magic after last playing with the Indiana Pacers. The 32-year-old was traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Pacers in February and was waived to create a roster spot for another player. Joseph did not sign with another team for the rest of the 2023-24 season, making the Pacers his last team. He previously played for Indiana from 2017-19, averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 assists per game.
Michael Scotto of HoopsHype was the first to report Joseph’s agreement with the Magic, with the second season of the contract being covered by a team option. Indiana traded the 52nd draft pick to the Warriors for Joseph and a significant amount of cash considerations. Orlando will be Joseph’s seventh NBA team, as he has also played for five other franchises throughout his career and won a championship in 2014. In total, Joseph has averaged 6.9 points and 3.0 assists per game in his career. His move to the Magic marks a new chapter in his NBA journey.
