James Morris, vice chair of Pacers Sports & Entertainment and a key figure in Indiana’s development for over six decades, passed away at the age of 81. From 1989 to 2002, Morris served as chair and CEO of Indianapolis Water Company/IWC Resources, leading the company through growth and modernization. He also made a global impact as the executive director of the World Food Programme, focusing on international hunger relief efforts. In 2014, Morris became vice chair of Pacers Sports & Entertainment and continued to be actively involved in the community, including serving on the Indiana University board.
