Indianapolis Woman Faces String of Vandalism at her Home, Pleads for Culprits to Stop
78-year-old Paulette Caldwell of Indianapolis has been the target of repeated vandalism at her home since February, with six incidents occurring in just a few months. Vandals have spray-painted her mailbox, driveway, and even scattered nails on her property. In July, a vandal was caught on camera throwing paint at her home. Caldwell, who has lived in her home for over 20 years, feels unsafe and has reported the incidents to the police, who are currently investigating.

Caldwell, a widow who lives with family members, has been diligently documenting the damages in a notebook and estimates the cost to be in the thousands of dollars. Despite her initial reluctance to seek attention, she is now speaking out and urging the vandals to stop their malicious actions. She believes the incidents are targeted and wants the culprits to take responsibility for their actions.

The police are actively patrolling the area and investigating the case, but Caldwell remains fearful in her own home. She questions why the vandals have chosen to target her and hopes they will have the courage to confront her directly instead of continuing their cowardly attacks. Caldwell’s plea for the vandalism to end reflects the distress and frustration she has experienced as a result of the repeated incidents.
