Former East Chicago Police Commander Louis Arcuri Jr., 55, has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for distributing cocaine while on duty. The incident occurred on June 11, 2021, when Arcuri Jr. provided cocaine to an associate while armed and on duty. He pleaded guilty to the charges and will serve 3 years of supervised release after his prison term. Arcuri Jr. has been in federal custody since Feb. 29, 2024.
