Los Angeles Police are currently on the hunt for a suspect who fatally shot Dr. Hamid Mirshojae, a well-known doctor who treated movie stars and athletes. The incident occurred on August 23 outside a medical center in the 5900 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. When officers arrived, the victim was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at his workplace. Dr. Mirshojae was described as a compassionate doctor who always went the extra mile to help his patients.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the shooter fled the scene on foot. Staff at the clinic revealed that the doctor had been previously attacked by three men with baseball bats a few months prior to the shooting. Dr. Mirshojae leaves behind a wife and a 6-month-old baby who were out of the country at the time of his death, as well as three adult children from a previous marriage.
A memorial has been set up outside the clinic in honor of the doctor, and a vigil was held to commemorate his life. Dr. Mirshojae had over two decades of experience providing urgent and emergency care, as well as expertise in addictionology. He was known for helping thousands of patients achieve sobriety, including celebrities, movie stars, and athletes. Friends and patients alike have expressed shock and grief over the tragic loss of Dr. Mirshojae, who was a beloved figure in the community.
