Election workers seek damages against Rudy Giuliani for defamation, targeting his homes and World Series rings

Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, are seeking to take possession of Rudy Giuliani’s multimillion-dollar homes in New York and Florida, along with valuable personal property including three Yankees World Series rings. They were awarded $146 million in damages after Giuliani was found liable for defaming them by falsely accusing them of election fraud. The pair filed a federal court action in New York, arguing Giuliani has shown a lack of compliance with court orders and judgments. The filing seeks an order for Giuliani to turn over personal property to satisfy the judgment, including cash accounts, jewelry, a legal claim for unpaid attorneys’ fees, and real estate. They are also claiming Giuliani’s interest in his luxury Madison Avenue co-op apartment, his condo in Palm Beach, and fees owed by Donald Trump’s campaign. Giuliani filed for bankruptcy after the judgment was issued, estimating his jewelry at $30,000, a figure disputed by Freeman and Moss.Attorneys for the election workers accused Giuliani of evasive tactics, claiming permanent residence in Florida to protect his condo under homestead laws, despite evidence showing he has not lived there. They are seeking a judgment to enforce their lien on the property, arguing Giuliani’s homestead status claim is without merit. A spokesperson for Giuliani claimed the case against him is politically motivated.
