Fatal Shooting on Near North Side of Indy; Suspect in Custody – Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather | Indiana Traffic

A fatal shooting occurred on Friday morning at the Westmont Apartments on the near north side of Indianapolis. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene just after 12:20 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. They found a man with gunshot wounds who died at the scene. One person was held for questioning by police, although they are considered a “person of interest” and not a suspect at this time. The incident is still under investigation and no further details have been released. The shooting took place at an apartment complex located just off I-70 near the Frank & Judy O’Bannon Soccer Park. More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
