Thomas plays a key role in the Connecticut Sun’s victory over the Indiana Fever

The Connecticut Sun defeated the Indiana Fever 87-81 in Game 2 to sweep the series and advance to the semifinals. Alyssa Thomas had 19 points and 13 assists while Caitlin Clark scored 25 points for the Fever. Indiana’s Aliyah Boston added 16 points and 19 rebounds. The Sun will face either Minnesota or Phoenix in the semifinals. DeWanna Bonner’s timely 3-pointer helped seal the win for Connecticut. The Fever made a comeback in the third quarter but ultimately fell short. The Sun’s Kaila Charles was honored as the league’s Most Improved Player. Indiana’s Erica Wheeler suffered an injury in the first half and did not return to the game. Tyasha Harris was also sidelined for the Sun due to an ankle injury. Despite a valiant effort from Clark and the Fever, the Sun emerged victorious to sweep the series. The game was not without drama as a fan was escorted out of the arena after an incident in the first quarter. The Sun’s strong performance throughout the game secured their spot in the semifinals.
