The 40th Circle City Classic is set to take place in Indianapolis this weekend, with the highlight being the football game between Norfolk State and North Carolina Central University. Teams arrived on Friday and participated in events such as the Coaches Luncheon and talent day organized by the Indiana Black Expo. Matt White from the Expo expressed excitement about showcasing the city to the teams and promoting HBCU excellence in Indianapolis. Both teams are part of the MEAC Conference, and efforts are being made to establish a partnership to bring more MEAC schools to the Circle City Classic in the future. White highlighted the importance of the event in allowing the city to demonstrate its offerings to the teams, fans, and community. The Circle City Parade will kick off at 10am on Saturday with the game scheduled for 3pm at Lucas Oil Stadium. The event is seen as an opportunity to bring HBCU schools to Indianapolis, where they are not typically represented, and to foster a partnership with the MEAC Conference. The Indiana Black Expo is enthusiastic about continuing the legacy of the Classic and the impact it has on the city.
