Tragic Shooting in Springfield Township: Woman Killed, Suspect Found Dead After Police Chase
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A 33-year-old woman, Lacresha Black, was fatally shot early Monday morning at her home on Lincoln Avenue, prompting a swift response from local police. Authorities arrived at the scene shortly after 7 a.m. and discovered Black suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the aftermath of the incident, detectives identified 42-year-old Terea Brown as the suspected shooter. Brown allegedly fled the scene in a dark-colored 2014 Chevrolet Cruze prior to the arrival of first responders.
The situation escalated when Brown was located in Clinton County, Indiana, where she engaged in a police chase with Indiana State Police. During the pursuit, a gunshot was reportedly fired from inside her vehicle, followed by returning fire from the pursuing officers. Brown was subsequently pronounced deceased, though further details about the circumstances surrounding her death have yet to be confirmed.
