As Americans across the country vote in the 2024 election, here is a guide to the latest poll closing times in each state. Polls in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Virginia, and Vermont close at 7:00 pm EST. At 7:30 pm EST, North Carolina, Ohio, and West Virginia will close their polls.
At 8:00 pm EST, a number of states including Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Tennessee will close their polls. Arkansas will close their polls at 8:30 pm EST.
States like Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, and Wyoming will close their polls at 9:00 pm EST. Montana, Nevada, and Utah will follow at 10:00 pm EST.
California, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon will close their polls at 11:00 pm EST, with Hawaii following at midnight and Alaska closing at 1:00 am EST. Check with your local election authority for voting hours near you.
