Press Release: Indiana FFA and National FFA Launch "Grow With Us" Program to Enhance Agricultural Education
Indianapolis, IN – The Indiana FFA Organization, in collaboration with the National FFA Organization, has proudly launched the "Grow With Us" program, an initiative designed to expand agricultural education across the state of Indiana. The program aims to engage a wider audience, including students, parents, administrators, guidance counselors, and community members, to highlight the significance and benefits of agricultural education.
Ambra Tennery, associate director of educational programs for the National FFA Organization, emphasized the program’s goal of raising awareness regarding the critical role agriculture plays in education and career development. “More individuals will understand the importance of agricultural education and the benefits that it provides. This integral aspect of agricultural education has been a cornerstone since the early 1900s,” she stated.
The "Grow With Us" initiative will emphasize the importance of Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), a unique educational component that allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world workplace settings. This hands-on approach not only enriches students’ learning experiences but also prepares them for future careers in the agricultural sector.
The program is further backed by a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc., ensuring its reach and impact throughout Indiana. With the launch of "Grow With Us," the Indiana FFA and National FFA Organizations are committed to fostering a deeper understanding of agricultural education and its lasting benefits for students and communities alike.
