A Colorado dentist, James Craig, accused of poisoning his wife with a fatal dose of cyanide and tetrahydrozoline has been hit with two new charges – solicitation to commit murder and solicitation to commit perjury. The charges were made as his lawyer withdrew from the case on the day jury selection was set to begin. Angela Craig died from poisoning in March, with evidence suggesting James had been having affairs and searching online for ways to make murder look like a heart attack or how to detect arsenic in an autopsy. However, the defense argued that there was no direct evidence linking him to the poison in his wife’s drink. The arrest warrant also revealed that their marriage had been strained for years, with Angela expressing a desire to leave her husband due to his infidelities. Angela, a mother of six who had been married to James for 23 years, had gone to the hospital complaining of a severe headache and dizziness before dying. It remains to be seen whether James Craig will have a new lawyer to represent him in these new charges.
