FISHERS, Ind. (WISH) — The Fishers Event Center celebrated a landmark moment as it welcomed its inaugural crowd, creating a buzz among excited fans eager to experience its offerings. The event featured performances by popular bands Trampled by Turtles and Turnpike Troubadours, drawing enthusiastic responses from attendees. Larry Hatton from Clayton, Indiana, expressed his excitement, declaring, “I’m overwhelmed!” while David Dye from northwest Indiana shared his surprise at being part of the center’s historic opening.
Mitch List, the General Manager of Fishers Event Center, reflected on the years of hard work that went into the facility’s launch. “It’s been a long time coming, and we’re thrilled to see the guests’ reactions as they experience the outstanding sightlines and our food and beverage options,” he stated. The center, with a seating capacity of 7,500, is designed to accommodate a variety of events from intimate performances to large sports gatherings.
List emphasized the venue’s versatility, catering to both renowned artists like Blake Shelton and rising stars on their first arena tours. Fans also appreciated the intimate setting; Hatton noted, “I’m in the fourth row today,” while Dye anticipated the unique experience of seeing artists in a smaller venue.
Upcoming events include a performance by Lindsey Stirling, with the center also set to host Nitro Circus, wrestling, and more sports events. The enthusiastic response marks just the beginning, as the Fishers Event Center has over a dozen shows and games scheduled through the end of the year.
