A seventh-grader at Noblesville East Middle School in Indiana was arrested after making a threat that forced the cancellation of classes at all district schools. The student faces a low-level felony charge of intimidation for posting an anonymous video on social media threatening violence at the school. The threat was reported to the FBI, who worked with local police to quickly locate the student at their home in the Noble Manor Apartments. The student will remain in jail as the investigation continues.
Noblesville Schools Superintendent Daniel Hile expressed gratitude for the swift action taken by law enforcement and emphasized the district’s zero tolerance policy for threats to school safety. Students are expected to return to class after the Thanksgiving break.
Marnie Cooke, executive director of communications for Noblesville Schools, praised the partnership with law enforcement and reassured the community of their commitment to ensuring the safety of students and staff. Parents and residents can rest assured that the situation is being handled effectively and that steps are being taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
