Indianapolis Animal Care Services is offering a special promotion during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend to help reunite lost pets with their families and encourage adoptions. The shelter is waiving all fees for people to reclaim their lost pets and is also offering no-fee adoptions. This initiative aims to make it easier for families to find their lost pets or bring home a new companion during the busy holiday season. Deputy director Kelly Diamond expressed the importance of reuniting pets with their families and providing shelter animals with loving homes. The shelter will waive all impound fees for reclaimed animals from November 30 to December 2 and will also offer no-fee adoptions during this time. This promotion is part of an effort to give animals in need a second chance at finding a forever home. Pet owners looking to reclaim their pets or individuals interested in adopting an animal can visit the shelter location at 2600 S. Harding St. during the specified dates. The shelter will be closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday but will be open on Saturday for those wishing to participate in this special event.
