Indiana football’s redshirt junior Mikail Kamara has been named one of four finalists for the prestigious Lott IMPACT Trophy, which recognizes the best combination of character and performance in college football. The award ceremony will take place on December 9 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Kamara, who leads the Big Ten in sacks and tackles for loss, has been a standout performer for Indiana throughout the season. His impressive statistics and impactful gameplay have garnered him national recognition, including being named the national defensive player of the week after a standout performance against Michigan State.
In addition to his on-field success, Kamara’s character and leadership have also been highlighted. The Lott IMPACT Trophy places equal emphasis on personal character and athletic performance, making it a unique and prestigious honor in college football.
The Foundation behind the award, The Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, aims to support charitable causes that benefit the youth of America, with a focus on education. The Lott IMPACT® Trophy, named in honor of Ronnie Lott, a legendary football player known for his leadership both on and off the field, exemplifies the positive attributes that many college athletes represent.
