The Mozel Sanders Foundation in Indianapolis is preparing to feed 10,000 people on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers have been working diligently to pack 500 meals containing chicken, dressing, and green beans to ensure that no one goes hungry. Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales joined the volunteers to help kick off the preparations, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community during the holiday season.
On Thanksgiving Day, meals will be available at 17 satellite locations on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who prefer to sit down and enjoy their meals can visit Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. The foundation offers various ways to contribute, including online donations, text messages, Cash App, or by calling a specific number. A $20 donation can feed a family of four.
WISH-TV is partnering with the Mozel Sanders Foundation to support its mission. The foundation has been serving meals for over 50 years, and the outpouring of support from volunteers and donors continues to ensure that everyone in Indianapolis can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
