Thanksgiving in Indianapolis: Mostly dry with frigid temperatures on the horizon

Central Indiana will see a mix of rain, snow, and cold temperatures heading into the Thanksgiving holiday. Wednesday night will bring steady rain with the possibility of some snow mixing in, especially along and north of Interstate 70. Temperatures will drop into the low 30s overnight. Thanksgiving Day will start off with rain and snow in the morning hours but will clear up by daybreak with temperatures in the mid-30s. The rest of the day will be dry with highs in the low 40s.

Black Friday will usher in the coldest air of the season, with highs struggling to reach the 20s and mostly sunny skies. The forecast for the rest of the week is frigid, with high temperatures only in the 20s and lows in the teens, accompanied by single-digit wind chills. There is a low chance of snow late on Saturday. This cold weather pattern is expected to continue through the end of November and into the beginning of December. Prepare for winter-like conditions and bundle up if you plan on being outside in Central Indiana.
