Shoppers in Noblesville, Indiana, are out in full force for Black Friday deals, with a record number of shoppers expected to participate in the weekend shopping extravaganza. The National Retail Federation is predicting at least 183.4 million shoppers will be shopping both online and in-store over the weekend. This is an increase from previous years, with nearly 18.1 million more people shopping compared to 2019. At Cabela’s in Noblesville, eager shoppers lined up at midnight for the 5 a.m. opening, with nearly 300 people in line. The JCPenney at Hamilton Town Center was also bustling with shoppers as soon as the doors opened. The top reasons consumers are shopping this weekend are due to the great deals and the tradition of holiday shopping over Thanksgiving weekend. Holiday spending is expected to reach record levels this year, with a projected growth between 2.5% and 3.5%, totaling around $979.5 billion to $989 billion during November and December. One shopper shared that it was their child’s first Black Friday shopping experience, and they enjoyed the excitement of getting deals on shoes and clothes. As shoppers continue to hunt for bargains, retailers are gearing up for a busy and successful holiday season.
