Indianapolis is bracing for the coldest weekend of the season, with temperatures well below freezing and even some snow showers expected. Today, temperatures will struggle to reach the 30-degree mark, with brisk winds making it feel even colder. The cold weather will continue into the evening, with wind chill values dropping into the teens.
On Saturday, highs will only reach the upper 20s and lower 30s, with a chance of snow showers in the afternoon and evening. Sunday will bring more cold weather, with highs around 30 degrees. The rest of the week will see temperatures gradually climbing back to freezing.
If you plan on heading out for Small Business Saturday or the Old Oaken Bucket game, be sure to dress in layers to stay warm. The Sunday school bus stop will be especially chilly, with temperatures falling into the teens. Bundle up and stay warm as Indiana experiences some of the coldest temperatures of the season.
