Fountain Square celebrates Small Business Saturday with festivities – Local News, Weather, and Traffic in Indianapolis, Indiana

Indianapolis shoppers came out in full force to support small businesses in Fountain Square on Small Business Saturday. The National Retail Federation expected 64.5 million people to participate in the shopping event, including those patronizing local establishments in the neighborhood. Store owners were excited to be a part of the day, with many opening their doors at 9 a.m. Despite the chilly weather, shoppers enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Brooke Tuggle, co-owner of Tuggle’s, expressed enthusiasm for the day and highlighted the variety of products available in the store, all of which were on sale. In addition to shopping, Tuggle’s offered a unique opportunity for customers to write letters to Santa, with the jolly man himself set to make an appearance on Dec. 14.

Since its inception in 2010, total reported U.S. spending on Small Business Saturday has reached an estimated $201 billion.
