Indianapolis Ballet is bringing the family-favorite production of “The Nutcracker” to the Old National Theatre in Indianapolis. The company will be performing the full-length version at the Murat Theatre from Dec. 19 – 22 and a shorter, kid-friendly version called “Nutcracker Sweets” at Newfields from Dec. 27 – 30. The performances are aimed at children ages three and older, offering a unique opportunity for them to experience ballet.
Executive Director Don Steffy and Vice President of Marketing Maria Maccaroni discussed the dedication of the dancers and students at Indianapolis School of Ballet who have been rehearsing since September for this production. Maccaroni highlighted the importance of introducing children to ballet and providing them with a magical experience in the theater.
Steffy encouraged individuals to get involved by enrolling in the School of Ballet or supporting the Ballet Guild, which helps to volunteer and support the company and school. With the holiday season in full swing, “The Nutcracker” promises to delight audiences of all ages with its enchanting story and beautiful choreography. Don’t miss this special production of a timeless classic at the Old National Theatre.
