Sports Radio Returning to Terre Haute, Indiana

Joey O’Rourke, the voice of Indiana State men’s basketball and owner of WMMC Radio, has expanded his media group with the acquisition of three additional stations in the Wabash Valley. One of these stations, WAMB, will now become WFNB ‘The Fanbase,’ a 24/7 all sports format station. O’Rourke expressed his excitement about this expansion on his Facebook account, thanking his supporters for making it possible.

The new station will feature play-by-play coverage of sports teams such as the Illinois Fighting Illini, Indiana State, Indiana Hoosiers, and Purdue Boilermakers. WFNB aims to bring the best sports coverage to the Wabash Valley, with plans to offer a Vigo County Football game of the week and bring popular sports shows like Dan Patrick and Colin Cowherd to the region. Additionally, O’Rourke’s show, Joey O & The King, will now air daily on the station.

With the addition of these stations, JKO Media Group now operates a cluster of four stations in the Wabash Valley. O’Rourke expressed gratitude to JD & Lori Schumann Spangler for giving him the opportunity to purchase WMMC Radio four years ago, which laid the foundation for this expansion. WFNB ‘The Fanbase’ is set to become the go-to destination for sports fans in the Wabash Valley, promising quality coverage and exciting new programming.
