Police say Florida educators arrested following out-of-control teen party with alcohol at principal’s house

Two educators, Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan and Karly Anderson, are facing child abuse charges after hosting a drunken teenage house party in Florida. The party, attended by over 100 people, including underage drinkers, and juveniles, led to allegations of child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of minors against the educators.

The party, held at Hill-Brodigan’s home, featured underage drinking, marijuana use, fights, and violence. Allegations also included a teenager pointing a gun at another, a vomiting partygoer, and a teenage girl arrested for drunk driving. Social media posts, matching T-shirts with the theme “white lie,” and previous similar parties were uncovered during investigations.

The educators were booked into jail but released on bond, pleading not guilty and requesting jury trials. Both have been placed on administrative leave by Brevard Public Schools, and the district has expressed deep concern over the accusations. The incident was described as a complete failure in leadership and a violation of trust by the district’s Superintendent.

Neighbors had reported disturbances from the party, prompting police visits multiple times. The party eventually ended after a false report of shots fired at a nearby skate park, allowing attendees to flee. The educators’ motivations for hosting such parties remain unclear, as one of them claimed her own children were not present during the event.

The case highlights the risks and consequences of irresponsible behavior by educators, involving minors in dangerous and illegal activities.
