INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Dougle Boles, the longtime president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has been appointed as the new president of both INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Penske announced on Tuesday. Boles, who has been with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 2013, will be succeeding Jay Frye in his new role. Boles expressed his excitement and passion for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, stating that he believes the future of the sport is bright and promising. Under Boles’ leadership, the Indianapolis 500 saw its first sold-out crowd for the event’s 100th race. Mark Miles, President & CEO of Penske Entertainment, praised Boles as the perfect choice to lead both INDYCAR and IMS into a new era. Boles’ appointment comes as part of multiple leadership changes within Penske Entertainment, with promotions given to Mark Sibla, Kyle Novak, Alex Damron, and Louis Kissinger. The 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES is set to begin on Sunday, March 2. Miles thanked Jay Frye for his 10 years of successful leadership at INDYCAR as he prepares to pass the torch to Boles.
