Get your kidneys and heart checked for free at Falam Baptist Church in Indianapolis – Stay informed with Indiana News, Weather, and Traffic updates

Residents in Indianapolis have the opportunity to receive kidney and heart screenings at Falam Baptist Church of Indiana this week, provided by health research company Care Access. The screenings will test for a type of cholesterol called Lp(a), which is genetic and can indicate an increased risk of heart attack. In addition to cholesterol levels, blood sugar levels and kidney function will also be measured during the screenings. Care Access aims to include community members in future clinical trials to ensure that medical treatments are representative of the populations that will use them. The screenings are free, do not require insurance, and appointments are available from February 13th to February 15th. Those interested can register through the Care Access website or on Eventbrite. Mirror Indy reporter Mary Claire Molloy covers health and can be reached for more information. This initiative provides an important opportunity for residents to prioritize their health and receive valuable screenings.
