Pair Perish in Avalanche in Central Oregon


Terance Olaf Skjersaa, 57, and Susan Renee Skjersaa, 52, were identified as the couple killed in an avalanche in central Oregon. They were from Bend, Oregon and were reported missing by friends after failing to return from a backcountry skiing outing in an area known as “Happy Valley.” Their bodies were found buried in the snow by friends late at night.
