Starbucks plans to reduce U.S. menu items by 30% by 2025 – Breaking News in Indianapolis | Latest Updates on Indiana Weather and Traffic

In an effort to streamline their menu and improve efficiency, Starbucks will be removing several of their “less popular beverages” starting on March 4. The coffee giant aims to focus on fewer, more popular items to reduce wait times and enhance consistency. This move is part of a larger restructuring plan that includes laying off 1,100 corporate employees globally. CEO Brian Niccol cited the need to operate more efficiently as the reason for these changes.

Some of the drinks set to be removed include various Frappuccino beverages, the Royal English Breakfast Latte, and the White Hot Chocolate. Starbucks plans to continue introducing new items and seasonal specials, like the Cortado beverage and a new “Iced Cherry Chai” set to debut in the spring. By the end of the 2025 fiscal year, the company aims to reduce its menu by roughly 30% in the U.S.

This menu shake-up comes as Starbucks looks to innovate and adapt to changing consumer preferences. The chain hopes that these changes will ultimately benefit both customers and employees alike.
