The Cathedral High School football team had a special experience at Lucas Oil Stadium, participating in a rehearsal workout for the NFL combine. The players, including 45 boys and 10 girls flag football players, enjoyed competing in drills like the 40-yard dash and seeing top players like Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward. Head coach Bill Peebles noted the significance of visualizing themselves participating in the combine and eventually being drafted into the NFL. The players appreciated the opportunity to compete with their teammates and set goals for playing in the state championship. Assistant coach Kurt Freytag emphasized the importance of starting and ending the season at Lucas Oil Stadium. The combine marked the end of Cathedral’s winter workout season, with Peebles seeing it as a way to reward the team for their hard work.
