The Chicago Sky to face Indiana Fever at United Center this season for highly-anticipated Angele Reese vs. Caitlin Clark matchup

The Chicago Sky will be hosting two highly anticipated home games against the Indiana Fever at the United Center this season, marking the first WNBA games in the history of the venue. The games, originally scheduled for June 7 and July 26, will now take place on July 27 in front of an expanded capacity crowd. Sky president Adam Fox expressed gratitude towards loyal fans and hopes to reward their dedication with the bigger venue experience.

The move to the United Center is expected to break franchise attendance records for the Sky, who usually play at the 10,000-seat Wintrust Arena. The United Center can accommodate over 20,000 fans, giving Chicago basketball enthusiasts a chance to support their team in a larger setting. The WNBA regular season will include five matchups between the Sky and the Fever, with three games being hosted at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana.

Other teams, such as the Washington Mystics and the Connecticut Sun, have also opted to host Fever games in larger venues this season. The Mystics will play two home games at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, while the Sun will host at TD Garden in Boston. Tickets for the Chicago games go on sale March 11, and fans can expect a thrilling basketball experience in the iconic United Center.
