WB I-70 partially reopens near Greenfield following semi-involved crash

An early morning crash involving a semi truck led to the closure of all westbound lanes on Interstate 70 in Hancock County, Indiana on February 28th. The accident occurred just west of the Greenfield exit around 5 a.m., prompting the closure of the entire westbound highway. Indiana State Police and INDOT were on the scene, working to pull the semi out of a ditch. By 5:45 a.m., the left lane had been reopened, but the right lane continued to remain closed as authorities worked to clear the area. Traffic delays were expected as a result of the crash and subsequent lane closures. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling through the area. The cause of the crash and whether there were any injuries were not immediately reported.
