IHSAA marks 50 years of girls’ basketball – Indianapolis News, Indiana Weather, and Indiana Traffic


The IHSAA Girls Basketball Championships are celebrating 50 years with top teams gathering in Indianapolis to compete for multiple titles. A special halftime ceremony will honor state championship coaches and Indiana Miss Basketballs from the past five decades. The first game will see Lafayette Central Catholic face off against Borden at 10:30 a.m., followed by Rensselaer versus South Knox at 12:45 p.m. The evening session kicks off with the 3A championship game between Norwell and Greensberg at 6 p.m., with the final game of the day featuring Warsaw against Lawrence North at 8:15 p.m. The event promises to be a thrilling celebration of girls’ basketball in Indiana, showcasing the talent and history of the sport in the state.
